From Mark Timmons:
I am pleased to announce a call for abstracts for the Twelfth Annual Arizona Workshop in Normative Ethics (WiNE) that will be held in Tucson, Arizona on January 14-16, 2021. Abstracts are welcome in any area or on any topic in normative ethical theory (to be distinguished as well as possible from metaethics, political philosophy, and applied ethics).
Abstracts should be no more than 3 double-spaced pages (ordinary fonts and margins; bibliography on fourth page OK), saved as a pdf and prepared for blind review. They are due no later than Noon (CDT) Monday, June 1, 2020. Please send them by email to me at mtimmons@u.arizona.edu. Those who presented at the 2019 or 2020 workshops are not eligible for presenting at the 2021 workshop.
A program committee will evaluate the submissions, and decisions will be finalized early to mid-July. The authors of accepted abstracts will be expected to provide drafts of their essays for distribution to WiNE attendees four weeks in advance of the workshop, and then commit final versions of their essays (subject to external review) to volume 12 of Oxford Studies in Normative Ethics.
The keynotes speakers for the 2021 workshop are Robin Dillon, William Wilson Selfridge Professor of Philosophy at Lehigh University and Douglas Portmore, Professor of Philosophy at Arizona State University.
To register to attend the Workshop (which is free), and for further information about submitting an abstract, visit the website: https://ethics-arizona.com
I hope to see you in Tucson next January.
