All of us here at PEA Soup are always looking for ways to make the blog a better resource for those working in ethics. So, we would like to borrow a couple of good ideas from the folks over at The Garden of Forking Paths. The first idea is to add a list of online papers in ethics. The second is to add a list of upcoming conferences in ethics. So, if you have any papers in ethics that you would like to make available to the ethics community, or if you would just like some feedback on some of your current work, you are welcome to email a link to the paper and an abstract to dboisvert at csub dot edu. (Alternatively, you can just send me a link to your web page that already contains additional links to your papers and abstracts.) Also, if you know of an upcoming conference in ethics that we should add to the list, please email the name, organizers, and dates of the conference, along with a link to the conference web page (if any), to dboisvert at csub dot edu.
We hope to make these resources available within the next two weeks, although we don’t yet know what form they will take. For example, we are not sure whether the lists of online papers and conferences will be in the form of additional blogs, links on a sidebar on PEA Soup, or separate web pages. I suspect that the decision will be made based upon how many online papers and conference announcements that come in over the next week or so.
Is the idea to have a collection of papers still on? Or is everyone busy with the early weeks of classes?
Hi Clark. Both. We are still on for a collection papers, and I have been ridiculously busy for the last two weeks getting ready for my upcoming classes. So, if any of you still have papers that you would like to list, please send me the title, abstract (if you have one), and link to the paper. We are also still on for a list of ethics conferences, so if you know of any upcoming ethics conferences, please let me know that as well.
