Free Food in New Orleans/Murphy Institute Fellowships

I’m not sure why you haven’t applied yet to this fellowship, but the headline says it all. Set aside all the other stuff: the excellent colleagues, the abundant research time, the chance to discuss philosophy with a who’s who of philosophers regularly giving talks, the year off from teaching/servitude. Focus instead on the one thing the ad doesn’t mention: The incredible New Orleans food you get for free during your year as a fellow! Plus the music! Plus the parades and the nonstop fun! Plus me! Again, why haven’t you applied yet?
