Today's NY Times includes this story about Charlie Crist, governor of Florida, who will be submitting a petition to the state's clemency board to pardon Jim Morrison for a couple of convictions after a 1969 concert for lewd behavior.  Without commentary (although that shouldn't stop you), I present the Contemplation Quote of the Day: "I’ve decided to do it, for the pure and simple reason that I just think it’s the right thing to do."

  1. Thanks so much for posting this. It’s a lovely example for a paper I’m working on about “Humean” theories of motivation, which I just presented at the University of Miami this weekend. How ironic!
