Ratio's special issue on Parfit's On What Matters is out. Parfit's book was previously entitled Climbing the Mountain and has been much discussed on this blog — see here.
Doug,
thanks for advertising the Ratio issue. I should also say that these articles will also be repackaged as a book later this year by Blackwell with an additional introduction.
So, Jussi, will this be the first time in history that the book a book volume is about is published after the book volume?
hmh. Not sure. I think there might have been some books on, say, some of Wittgenstein’s manuscripts before they were published. I’m sure others can think of other examples from the history. I should also say that we should begin talking in plural – On What Matters will be published in two volumes.
Jamie,
Only if he gets around to publishing it.
